Sabrina received her clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from the top national physical therapy program at the University of Southern California in 2006, where she studied with some of the most highly acclaimed researchers in her field. She relocated to Portland in 2014 and joined the Therapydia Portland team in 2015.
Sabrina values continuing education and has attended several courses in specialized manual therapy techniques and movement science principles to advance her skills in the treatment of movement dysfunctions. Recently, she has been seeking progressive training in treatment for balance disorders and became a certified practitioner through The American Institute of Balance for vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. She also actively follows the cutting-edge research of the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute and International Spine and Pain Institute regarding pain management.
Sabrina is an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Credentialed Clinical Instructor and Kinesio Taping Association (KTA) Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. She is also certified in The Graston Technique®, a patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively detect and treat scar tissue and other soft tissue restrictions that affect normal function.
Sabrina enjoys exploring her adopted state’s amazing nature scapes and food scene. Her favorite fitness activities are dance, yoga, and hiking, or Beat Saber on VR when outdoor fun is less favorable.
Rachel Wilkinson, PT, DPT
Rachel graduated from Loyola Marymount University in CA with her BS in Health Sciences and then went on to complete her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2015 at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.
Her orthopedic continuing education has focused on rehabilitation for the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle. She believes that movement is the best medicine and works diligently with her patients to achieve a balance in activity so they can keep doing what is important to them.
Rachel also enjoys treating people in the spectrum of pregnancy and postpartum. She is currently completing her specialty education in Obstetrics through the APTA. This has equipped her to provide evidence based treatment of pregnancy and postpartum patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, activity modification, education on symptom management.
Her fitness background includes running (2 marathons, 2 half marathons), CrossFit (8 years) and she has finally found balance in her home gym where she does primarily traditional strength and conditioning training. Rachel loves spending time with her husband and baby, Jane, while being outdoors and staying active. She enjoys cooking, baking and trying new restaurants in Portland.
Liz Henderson, PT, DPT, MTC
Liz received her clinical doctorate in physical therapy (DPT) from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2019. Following graduation, she relocated to Portland and worked for 3 years in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Liz is new to the Therapydia North Portland team in 2022 and is excited to join Therapydia because of their philosophy of one-on-one care for lifetime musculoskeletal wellness.
Liz believes the foundation of a solid treatment program begins with education of anatomy and pain-neuroscience. She uses manual therapy techniques, therapeutic strengthening and coordination exercises to address the unique needs of each patient. She completed a year-long clinical training program in 2021 and now holds a Manual Physical Therapy Certification (MTC). This program equipped her to use advanced manual therapy techniques like spinal and joint mobilizations, manipulations and soft tissue massage.
Liz and her husband, Beau, enjoy backpacking and exploring all things outdoors in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, especially local wildflowers and plants. When she’s not hiking, she enjoys creative outlets of embroidery and illustration, or reading epic fantasy novels.
Colleen graduated from Oregon State University in 2018 with a bachelor’s in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. She is an outgoing person and loves being in a work setting that helps people every day. Working in healthcare and helping people is a real passion of hers. She wants to make everyone’s experience wonderful when they walk through the doors. Colleen loves the outdoors and will often go out for hikes, runs, and walks. On rainy days in Portland, you can find her working on puzzles. She’s from Portland and loves everything about the city.
Kaitlyn grew up in Colorado and moved to Oregon a couple of years ago – both astounding places of nature! She’s been obsessed with health and wellness for as long as she can remember, specifically the concept of self-healing through preventative care. In college Kaitlyn studied Nutrition and Integrative Healthcare where she learned many alternative healing modalities. She loves all things holistic health and strive to empower others to lead a healthy lifestyle. Kaitlyn also believes in balance and in enjoying the little things in life. In her free time she enjoys exercise, writing, live music, cats, crafting herbal remedies and spending time with friends. She’s grateful to be part of a positive and health-centered team environment!
