Jan Klofter | Staff  PT, MPT

Jan is a native of the Bay area and has been practicing here for nearly 25 years.  He received his Bachelors degree for CSU Chico in Exercise Physiology.  Soon After he received his Masters of Physical Therapy from Mt. St. Marys College.  Jan’s treatment focus has been on musculoskeletal/orthopedic conditions including most post surgical cases.  The last 15 years he worked in private practice Sports Medicine and Family Practice which honed his skills as an excellent treater for orthopedic conditions.  Jan’s philosophy lays heavily on accurate assessments of the underlying pathomechanics involved with these conditions.  Treatment focus is on manual therapies and corrective exercise progressions.  He is also CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist through NSCA). Jan stays up to date with current evidence based practices to be able to deliver the best care possible.  In his off time Jan spends time with his wife and two children. His interests include weight training, cooking, travel, watching sports and reading.

Daniel Casadesus

Daniel was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, from a Filipina mom and Spanish dad. He moved to California when he was 17 to attend San Jose State University and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s in Advertising. After graduating, he worked for a couple Bay Area startups but the pandemic made a turn on his career.

After working at a covid testing site during the pandemic, Daniel realized how much he enjoys assisting patients in finding the care they need. This experience led Daniel to explore other opportunities in healthcare. He expanded his knowledge working for an urgent care and a dental clinic but ultimately found his calling at physical therapy.

During his free time, Daniel enjoys traveling, skiing, climbing and spending time with his two cats, Kona & Ruffle.

Tony Torrez, PT, DPT
Senior Physical Therapist

Tony found his passion for physical therapy following the end of his Marine Corps career as he wanted to continue his public service with a focus into the healing arts, and after being introduced to Massage Therapy through his mother, his wife noticed his excitement when working with more acutely injured patients. He received his B.S. in Kinesiology at Notre Dame de Namur University, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Since his graduation, he has been working with a wide variety of orthopedic injuries with a focus on integrating his massage therapy and physical therapy skills as a Manual Therapist, and has been building his expertise in myofascial decompression and pelvic health therapy. He wants to develop his skills in order to finish his Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) requirements, and earn his Manual Therapy Certification (MTC), his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and Orthopedic Specialist Certification (OCS) to better integrate a more holistic and in-depth approach to healing, and better educate his clients within all stages of athleticism from dormant to professional status to prevent reinjury. When he is not refining his skills or running clinics, he likes to partake in deep conversations, venture to the beach, watch indie films, play video games, and visit microbreweries/local eateries with his wife.

Jennifer Cooper
Office Manager

I grew up with a love for animals (dogs, cats, hamsters, etc.) and ended up having a pet care business for nearly a decade, which taught me a lot about pet parenting, animal psychology, and how to manage a small business.

In my free time, I really enjoy taking walks and connecting with nature, as well as focusing my energy on my emotional wellbeing. I am deeply passionate about music and recently started a vinyl record collection, and I also have an electronic drumset I am slowly learning to play. I also love Halloween and I allow myself to have my decorations up year-round :)

Robert Lucente, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT

Regional Manager

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences from Santa Clara University (SCU) in 2005. While attending SCU he worked as a student athletic trainer in the sports medicine department where he gained his first exposure to rehabilitating orthopedic and sport injuries. This experience inspired him to pursue a career in physical therapy so he could expand his rehabilitation skills beyond athletics to the whole community.

In 2008 Robert graduated from Mount St Mary’s College with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In 2013 Robert became board certified as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). He has advanced training in manual therapy and in 2016 became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) through the Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Group. Robert has an extensive background in sports therapy as he was lead physical therapist for Santa Clara University Sports Medicine Department for nearly 10 years.

Robert’s motto; the difference between a good physical therapist and a great one is an individuals ability to connect with their patients. Robert takes pride in creating an atmosphere where you feel listened to, acknowledged and treated like family.

Since family deserves the best, Robert is constantly reading the latest research and taking numerous continuing education classes to ensure his skill set remains elite and groundbreaking. In his spare time, Robert is a family man, soaking in as much time with his wife Karen and their two children Aria and Weston.
