Alexis Schoensee

Office Manager

Alexis graduated from San Francisco State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences with a minor in Special Education. She is proud to be a part of a team that promotes trust, satisfaction, growth, and compassion. These core values are essential in helping people get back to doing what they love. She loves being able to play a role in helping patients get the relief and support they need. In her free time, she enjoys going on hikes, reading, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Jung, PT, MPT

Physical Therapist

Jennifer is a board licensed physical therapist with 20+ years of experience in orthopedics and sports medicine. She received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from East Carolina University in 2000 and undergraduate degree in Exercise Sport Science from Elon College ( now Elon University) in 1997.

Having overcome her own personal injuries over the years has given her an even greater passion and empathy for those desiring return to their everyday life and activities. Experience playing NCAA college soccer, snowboarding, hiking, competing in triathlons, running, swimming, hiking, and backpacking contribute to her understanding of the competitive athlete as well as the more casual weekend warrior.

The core of her philosophy is an emphasis on evaluating the whole person in order to find the source of their problems, rather than simply just treating their symptoms. This approach mitigates the chance of re-injury and allows for improved personal performance once treatment is complete. By listening extensively to each patient, she helps empower them to be an active participant in the rehabilitation process.

Marianne K. Arild, PT, MPT

Clinic Director

“I believe each patient’s “story” is unique and I love developing an individualized treatment program specific to their needs and goals. I enjoy teaching patients about their body and their injuries and I find patient education to be essential in the overall success of the patient’s rehabilitation. I use an eclectic approach based on the skills and experience I have gained through 28 years of patient care, continuing education, and peer collaboration. My background in Nutrition as well as my medical knowledge as a Physician Assistant allows me to give my patients a comprehensive approach focusing not only on their rehabilitation but their overall health and wellness. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the highest level athletes through USA Track and Field, USA Decathlon, San Jose/Cleveland Ballet, United States Figure Skating Association, and MLB – San Francisco Giants and it has helped me to fine tune my clinical skills.”

Robert Lucente, PT, DPT, OCS, COMT

Regional Manager

Robert earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences from Santa Clara University (SCU) in 2005. While attending SCU he worked as a student athletic trainer in the sports medicine department where he gained his first exposure to rehabilitating orthopedic and sport injuries. This experience inspired him to pursue a career in physical therapy so he could expand his rehabilitation skills beyond athletics to the whole community.

In 2008 Robert graduated from Mount St Mary’s College with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. In 2013 Robert became board certified as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS). He has advanced training in manual therapy and in 2016 became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) through the Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Group. Robert has an extensive background in sports therapy as he was lead physical therapist for Santa Clara University Sports Medicine Department for nearly 10 years.

Robert’s motto; the difference between a good physical therapist and a great one is an individuals ability to connect with their patients. Robert takes pride in creating an atmosphere where you feel listened to, acknowledged and treated like family.

Since family deserves the best, Robert is constantly reading the latest research and taking numerous continuing education classes to ensure his skill set remains elite and groundbreaking. In his spare time, Robert is a family man, soaking in as much time with his wife Karen and their two children Aria and Weston.
